It’s simply not possible to step fully into your sacred, sovereign power without shedding all that is standing in your way.
Most of the so-called “blocks” are unconscious – held beneath the level of consciousness. That’s why the word “shadow” is so often used to describe the unconscious. We can’t see it because we aren’t yet aware of it.
Only by bringing the light of awareness to the shadow realm can we remove the blinders, release the obstacles, and pull our power back from outside attachments, beliefs, habits, patterns, or conditioning. That’s why having the support of a guide such as myself is so helpful. We help you see that to which you have been blind.
However, it’s really easy to get lost in the dark realms of the shadow when the light of the heart is not cultivated first.
The heart is what develops the capacity to:
(1) See through the shadow to the truth that lies beneath it
(2) Bring the light of compassion, empathy, and forgiveness to the shadow
(3) Dissolve the shadow through love
Without the heart as the guiding force, it is easy to become engulfed by the shadow. To identify with it. Become immersed in it. Even to attach to it. This is the realm of addictions, violence, and uncontrolled rage, for example.
When we go into the shadow, we are not meant to stay there. The purpose is to see it, acknowledge, and accept that part of self with compassion and love, and then align it to your soul’s truth. This is the step most people miss.
With this alignment, every part of you begins to operate in harmony – mind, body, and soul – rather than feeling an internal push and pull or resistance that just doesn’t seem to go away.
A good example, which will be a big part of the upcoming Embody our Divinity Portal of Initiation, is the shadow of shame.
Sometimes, we don’t even realize how much shame we’re hiding under until we begin to infuse the body with divine love. As you increase the vibration of your being into a higher frequency of love and light, the dark has no choice but to reveal itself.
Personally, I’ve never been able to “get rid of” shame. The parts of me that harbor shame aren’t bad. They are the parts of me that were not seen, were not heard, and were not valued by others. All shame is the internalized judgment of other people.
As I see these parts with my own eyes – the eyes of my heart – the shame itself begins to dissolve.
I no longer give power to those opinions because my power now resides within me. I get to decide: Do I agree? Do I accept this as truth? What is my truth?
It is life changing work. I can’t wait to dive deep in Embody your Divinity: Reclaim the Holiness of your Body, Voice, and Sexuality beginning in September.
We get to enter the shadowy realm using the medicine of the dark goddess while simultaneously reveling in pleasure and connection to our innate divinity. Click here if you’re ready to shed the old skins and be born anew so you can join us in the sacred online temple.
With all my love,
