Embody your Divinity

Women were divine, revered, holy, and free thousands of years ago.  There was a time in which a woman’s sovereignty was recognized.  The goddess was worshipped.  The divine was recognized in All Things.  The elements themselves were honored and revered.

Then, what I call the “great shift” occurred.  One male god was put up in the sky.  He had to be worshipped above all others.  Over time, it was forbidden to worship a feminine aspect of the divine.  Women who worshipped the goddess were thrown out of temples.  Killed.  Tortured.  Turned into prostitutes.

Denial of the goddess translated into denial of life itself.

Spirit, it was believed, could only be obtained by going up and out of matter.  Up and out of the body.  Up and out of earth.  Those “things” were to be denied, controlled, and feared.  Reason and logic came to replace mystery and magic.  To access god, one was encouraged to leave the earth.  Life was supposed to be hard, painful, and full of suffering.  To deny the body was to “free one’s soul.”

This created a split between not only Heaven and Earth, but spirit and matter, man and woman, body and soul.

Women, long representatives of the goddess herself, were no longer recognized as divine.  Their soul was flatly denied.  They became objects for the benefit of another who “tempted” men to the earth plane away from spirit.  Thus, they were to be controlled and feared.  This denial the root of violence against women, including rape and relationship violence.

These beliefs, though it took a couple thousand years of war and violence to stifle all opposition, culminated in the writing of Adam & Eve – the infamous creation story in Genesis of the Hebrew Bible or Old Testament. At the time, stories were written allegorically as myths rather than literally.  Symbols were used as references.

For example, the tree of life, a holy garden, and the serpent were long associated with goddess worship.

When read in this context, the message was clear:

Man was made of god.  Woman was made of man, for man.  She had to submit, serve, and silence herself, for he was to “rule over” her.  Those who dared worship the goddess would be punished and killed, along with the men who listened to them.

What I call the six core “Eve Wounds” were established: shame, guilt, doubt, fear, blame, unworthiness.  These are wounds of separation that keep us from recognizing our own god-nature and the sovereign power of our own divinity.

This split in consciousness has harmed both women and men.  Not only has it prohibited the possibility of loving, conscious relationships, it has denied us access to the profound wisdom of our own bodies.  If the body, life, and women are not considered divine, then neither can sex be sacred.

Even though man was made in the image of god, he still had to submit to an external god who could “cast him out” of love.  Great suffering is wrought when we are separated from our own innate divinity.  They myths of Isis and Osiris are a perfect example of this.

We have been told to associate the divine or spiritual advancement with going “up.”  Yet, a close reading of ancient wisdom teachings points in the other direction.  They teach us to descend in order to ascend by accessing the depths of our own being.

What if the ancients knew what we have forgotten?  What if matter itself holds the source of creation within?  What if we can access god in every cell, in every experience, in every moment while here on earth?  What if the separation between heaven and earth is only a matter of consciousness?

The key to life in Egypt was the Ankh.  “An,” in ancient Sumer, meant “Heaven.”  “Ki” pronounced “Kh” meant “Earth.”  To unify heaven and earth was known as the key and the way.  To see the divinity of earth – as the goddess she is – creates the foundation for seeing the divinity of the body.  Of woman.  Of life.  Of the now.

The good news is that we have the power to:

* Unravel ourselves from these inherited beliefs, cast off the shackles of shame, guilt, doubt, fear, blame, and unworthiness, and remove the blinders to our true nature

* Remember the ancient wisdom that resides within us through self-knowledge as we reunite body and soul and open our hearts to divine love

* Reclaim our sacred, sovereign power to embody our divinity and experience the ecstasy of full-bodied freedom by connecting with our own divine essence

All of my offerings, through 1:1 Portals of Initiation to Activate Sacred Feminine Power for women and Activate Codes of Courage for men, as well as a 9-month transformative group journey to Embody your Divinity: Reclaim the Holiness of your Body, Voice, and Sexuality, are designed to help you do just that.

Through an 8-year initiation into ancient feminine mysteries beginning in 2013, in addition to years of research into ancient civilizations, mythology, and religious history to write my book, I have been able to piece together specific beliefs and fears that must be confronted as you walk the path to sovereignty.

Simply mental work is not enough.  The mind can, however, provide a glorious container for doing the deeper emotional and energetic work of activating your own divinity.  That is why I go beyond coaching to use energetic activations, embodiment practices, and inner journeys so it becomes a lived, breathed, embodied experience.

My soul is devoted to this global reclamation of the body, earth, woman, and life itself as divine so we reunite heaven and earth through our very own being. It is why I do the work I do. There is nothing that matters more to me.

You will know if this work is right for you when you feel a soul “yes!” – no matter how illogical it may seem, and even if your mind can’t comprehend it.  It is the goddess beckoning you to return and reunite with all of who you are.
