Why does Sovereignty matter?

Why does sovereignty matter?

If you want to be free, you must be sovereign.

I’m talking about true, internal freedom that is not based on a fleeting moment or circumstance.

I thought I found freedom when I left a successful legal career as a criminal prosecutor.

I thought I found freedom when I traveled around the world alone.

I thought I found freedom when I walked out the door of an abusive relationship.

But I have come to discover that none of those external events granted me freedom, but each one required me to free myself from the inherited constructs and belief systems that tried to keep me imprisoned.

Real freedom comes when we know ourselves deeply.

When we know our own thoughts, no one can tell us what to think.

When we know our own feelings, no one can tell us what to feel.

When we know the truth of who we are, no one and nothing can ever take it away.

To be sovereign is to be your own authority.

You cannot be controlled because you are your own master.

You cannot be possessed because you fully possess yourself.

You cannot be denied because you know you have a right to be here.

Sovereignty has been prohibited to women for thousands of years.  We have been forced – through extreme violence and warfare – to submit to others under the guise of “love.”  Now, even though many of the external laws have been changed, we still carry the beliefs passed down over the years that tell a woman she is inferior and unworthy.

We silence ourselves.

We shame ourselves.

We fear being “too much” or too powerful.

I created three types of workshops that address specific ways in which the power of woman has been stripped from us so we can fully restore ourselves to our rightful place next to man – as his equal – and not underneath:

Reclaim your Body as Holy

Reclaim your Voice as your Power

Reclaim your Sexuality as your Own

For those wanting more individual support, I offer private portals of transformation.  The path to sovereignty is unique for each person.  My role is to be your guide as you choose to take the forbidden fruit and ingest it fully into your body.  Your eyes will be opened, and you will taste the sweetness of your power.

About me? In a nutshell, a former lawyer who followed my Soul's calling to leave everything I knew (job, home, family, friends, country) in order to explore new territory, both externally and within myself. Now, I'm a writer, guide and a creator with a passion for life. My philosophy? Laugh. Dance. Feel. Move. Write. Express yourself. Be free. Listen to your own Soul's wisdom. Drink up all of life, even those moments we deem "bitter." It's ALL part of our path. It's ALL here to help us. And we're ALL here together.
