I know what it’s like to feel inner turmoil. To lack clarity. To feel confused about what action to take. It usually happens when I feel differently than I want to feel. In other words, my mind and body are in disagreement.
The mind likes to keep us safe. It prefers the known and familiarity. While an amazing tool for transformation, the mind can also limit our growth. It focuses on what others want or expect of us. It bases decisions on what it has experienced in the past. If speaking our truth created rejection in the past, the mind will tell us to be quiet.
It’s easy to prefer comfort over the discomfort expansion brings.
The body is willing to show us the truth of what our heart and soul really want. It doesn’t lie. When we drop down and in to hear our soul’s voice, it will reveal itself. Sometimes it takes time to move through the resistance. But I’ve discovered my body is eager to talk to me.
In this Facebook Live talk posted below, I take you into a brief practice to begin the inner inquiry. Ask your body what it feels. Take note. Be with the depth of the silence. Notice sensations. Become aware of the fears. Commit to hear your inner truth, even if it’s not what your mind “thinks” it should be. Then, you will have clarity. The turmoil ceases when you know what you need to do. It creates energy where only stagnation resided.
